Gift Shop & Train Museum. Marvel at the miniature layout of Dolores in the 1940's, operate an old fashioned telegraph, learn the history of the railroad and Galloping Goose, and explore Goose #5. They also operate excursions on the Durango & Silverton and Cumbres & Toltec railways. FREE ADMISSION.

mcphee lake & campground
McPhee is the largest in the San Juan National Forest and second largest in Colorado with 50 miles of shoreline in piñon, juniper, and sagebrush country. Boat ramps are closed unless there are mussel inspectors on site. There are two access points to McPhee: The McPhee Complex and the House Creek Entrance. The McPhee campground is on a mesa 500 feet above the reservoir, with road access to the boat launch area. 71 campsites, paved access and parking, picnic sites, barrier-free flush toilets, and 24 sites with electric hookups. There are volleyball posts, a ball field, and horseshoe pits (you supply the equipment).
The House Creek Campground has 23 campsites, open play area, composting toilets, sanitary dumping station, group picnic areas, and four-lane boat ramp.
No firewood or showers.

CANYON OF THE ANCIENTS MUSEUM
The Canyons of the Ancients Visitor Center and Museum displays artifacts and records from excavations in the Four Corners area, one of the richest archaeological regions in the United States, and is also the headquarters for Canyons of the Ancients National Monument. Exhibits, Gift Shop, Picnic area and half-mile nature trail.
